Anyone know how much hedgehogs can cost?
anywhere from $150-$300, plus the cost of supplies and other necessities. I’d save up to $500 if you’re wanting to get one.
Anonymous asked: I've only had my hedgehog for a couple weeks but I've never had a problem handling her. But today every time I went to pet her she got jumpy and balled up making a weird noise. I let her sniff my fingers an she's fine then I go to pet her (never has been an issue) and every time she gets jumpy and balls up. Do you have any idea what's going on?
laughingatmytorch asked: Animals in general can be really picky about the surfaces they defecate on. If they like to use the wheel, and it's plastic, putting a piece of plastic in the cage could act as a designated pooping area.
navystrength asked: well, in the wild they would be running freely rather than in a wheel. I'm assuming they do this in some sort of attempt to avoid letting predators know where they sleep.
pinkypromiseswear asked: Hello! I have a hedgehog myself, and I use Carefresh bedding for his cage. I thought I'd share something that I did to slightly potty train him, and maybe this will help others who have hedgies and use bedding. Basically in one corner of his cage i put a different type of bedding (it was this brown shredded one) i did this for about a month, and now he knows to poop there :)
youandme-for-eternity asked: I completely understand with your whole do your research things. Especially for and exotic pet! I did mine for months before I got my hedgehog and am still researching things. My roommates tell me things I should do with my hedgehog and a lot of them could turn out dangerous, so I always have to explain to them. And also a week after I got my hedgie one of my roommates randomly declared one day...

Hedgehog's favorite ride.
(Sorry I forgot to add the picture LOL) Well, I guess I’ll restart what I said. I saw someone post something about owning a dog and wanting to get a hedgehog. So I thought I’d share my experience that all my pets (chinchillas-hedgehogs-ferrets-dogs-cats) all get along amazingly. This is my hedgehog Yuki on my dog Ecko, she’s a very passive aggressive dog and lets the...

infinite-thoughts asked: I saw the picture of your hedgehog on its dirty wheel. That type of wheel is very dangerous for hedgehogs. You really should change it.

chicksdigmetaphors asked: Hey, have you seen the new advert for Lactofree with all the hedgehogs? I saw it for the first time today, it's very cute :3 Here's the YouTube link if you're interested: /watch?v=pV52OA3yqjw
Anonymous asked: You act like you know everything about hedgehogs, and at first I liked your advice, because it was kind of helpful. But latley youve been rude and a know it all.
goddamitbitch asked: Don't worry Cupcake sat in the ball for about 2 seconds. I just wanted to see if she'd enjoy roaming around in it.
blueknightmar asked: A friend told me that if you buy a hedgehog o any pet in the USA, you can bring it here. But dunno, i need to do some research for that.
Anonymous asked: Actually, the hedgehog breeder I got my hedgehog from said that hamster balls aren't terrible for hedgehogs as long as you watch them carefully.
blueknightmar asked: Sadly, I lived in Puerto Rico, so getting a hedgehog would literally be impossible.
blueknightmar asked: Is it healthy to get a hedgehog when you already have more than 1 dog?
